Description: We are living in a time when it is very easy to get pulled
off center and into places of fear, frustration, anxiety and aversion.
This drains our energy and colors our perceptions. During this Day of
Mindfulness we will be using practices that will help us to develop our
concentration, become more aware of our unskillful habits of mind and
expand our capacity for love and compassion for ourselves and everyone
else. These practices help us to transform our unskillful states of
mind and hold everything with more equanimity and fearlessness. When
we can choose where to place our minds, we have more clarity and more
energy to take wise action. We can then experience more joy and
freedom in every present moment. No previous meditation experience is
necessary.

Questions (other than registration): contact Don at 401-556-2945

About the Teacher: Joanne Friday received authority to teach from Thich
Nhat Hanh, who has been her teacher for 16 years. She has enjoyed
offering retreats and Days of Mindfulness for many sanghas and various
groups throughout the Northeast. She is the co-founder of the Clear
Heart Sangha and guiding teacher of the Bell Street Sangha. The
transmission of the Dharma has been the most wonderful gift she has
ever received and her greatest joy is passing it on!
