The Tricycle Foundation and the LamRim Buddhist Center welcome you to 
a special afternoon devoted to meditation instruction.
CHANGE YOUR MIND DAY
Saturday, September 15, 2007, 2 - 4 pm

An afternoon of free meditation instruction in a lovely park called
Knyvet Square on Amory Street in Brookline.

WE OFFER this CYM Day in conjunction with other CYM Days worldwide!

WE SHARE Buddhist meditation techniques from different traditions.

WE SIT outside in the park if weather permits because that is the way 
the Buddha first taught.

WE MEDITATE.

All are welcome, including children. Bring a cushion or blanket to 
sit on. Please no pets. You may attend all or a part of the program, 
it's your choice.

If you take the Beacon Street train: the T green line "C", get of at 
Hawes or Kent Street and walk north two blocks to the Park. also 
there is on street parking. It is halfway between Beacon Street and 
Commonwealth Avenue near the BU College of Arts.

This lovely Park was donated to the Town in 1902 by the Sears family. 
It was named after Sears relatives in England. David Sears, a Boston 
merchant, was an avid amateur horticulturalist, who established 
thousands of trees in Longwood and Cottage Farm. And he also build 
the beautiful Christ Church Longwood, home of the LamRim Center.

Some of the Teachers presenting will be:

Lama Lobsang Dorgay has been teaching for more than twenty years, now 
as the Spiritual Director and Teacher of the LamRim Buddhist Center 
in Brookline. He began his studies at Gaden Monastery in Lhasa, 
Tibet.  He has kindly taught and profoundly directed us in the LamRim 
with inspiration and devotion since 1998.  LamRim is the 'Graduated 
Path to Enlightenment" taught by Je Tsongkhapa the founder of the 
Gelugpa lineage.

Michael A. Grodin, MD is  a Professor of Health Law, Bioethics, Human 
Rights, and a Professor of Socio-Medical Sciences, Community 
Medicine, and Psychiatry at the Boston University School of Public 
Health and Medicine, also he is the Co-director of the Boston Center 
for Refugee Health and Human

co-editor of 5 books in the fields of bioethics, health and human 
rights. Dr. Grodin brings his extensive real world clinical 
experience into all his teaching, research and

Dr. Grodin will use both a basic Buddhist mindfulness and Tai Chi 
techniques to guide a moving-walking meditation.

Richard Geller will teach a brief version of the beginner s 
meditation class he teaches in the corporate workplace.  He is 
president and founder of MedWorks Corporate Meditation Programs of 
Brookline, MA, and has practiced meditation for 30 years and taught 
for over 10 years.  He specializes in making meditation and its 
stress-reduction benefits accessible to beginners in the corporate 
environment. In addition, Mr. Geller teaches at Lumina fitness center 
in Wayland and the Boston Center for Adult Education.  He also serves 
as a volunteer meditation teacher at the Suffolk County House of

Rev. Ryuoh Faulconer of the Nichiren Buddhist Sangha of Greater New 
England, part of the rich Japanese tradition, who is new to the 
Boston area. The Rev.taught extensively in the Portland area before 
moving to

The LamRim Buddhist Center, Inc. is a Commonwealth of Massachusetts 
non profit religious and educational organization, incorporated in 
1999, continuously providing classes and special events oft Buddhist 
and Tibetan cultural appreciation and preservation.  Mailing and

Longwood Medical area.  Since 1998 our resident Spiritual Director 
and Teacher has been Lobsang Dorgay of Gaden Monastery, Lhasa, 
Tibet.  We are often honored by the eloquent translations of Pema 
Tsewang Shastri  and by local and international guest teachers such 
as Yogi Acharya Lama Gursam who taught in August of this year.  This 
is Buddhist philosophy and practice as evolved in the Tibetan tradition.
