BPF Boston chapter announcements announce at lists.capital-internet.net

Hi everybody,
I'm sending out this invitation to the 2007
Interhelp Gathering. Although this is not
specifically a Buddhist group, it is based on the
teachings of Joanna Macy, who is a well known
Buddhist. I'm one of the members of the
Interhelp Network Council, so I'd be glad to
answer any of your questions about the gathering or the organization.

Since our visions can guide and empower our
actions, we can benefit by taking some time to
create a positive vision of where we are
headed. The Interhelp Network (
www.interhelpnetwork.org) is offering a gathering
at Woolman Hill ( www.woolmanhill.org) in
Deerfield, MA, on November 9 - 11, 2007 where you
will be able to create such a vision in an
environment of support and community. Here's
what participants at previous gatherings said:

"If you ever feel isolated or alone, wondering if
anyone else out there could feel as deeply about
the core issues of the earth's survival as you
do, wonder no longer. At the gathering you will
be surrounded by kindred souls who share your
deepest concerns." S.G., Syracuse, NY

"Interhelp is passionately, energetically - and
joyfully - committed to the task of creating a
life-affirming and sustainable planetary society." L.S., Philadelphia, PA

For more information, see below or go to
http://www.interhelpnetwork.org. We encourage you
to join us and bring a friend. Please forward
this email to others who may be interested.

Cordially,
The Interhelp Council

Interhelp is an international network of people
who share a deep concern for world conditions that threaten human life
and the earth. We support each other in moving
from feelings of hopelessness and isolation to empowerment and action.
Through community gatherings with shared
experiences, group exercises, and opportunities
for reflection, we integrate deep social
concerns, personal psychological growth,
awareness of our spiritual core, and intimate
connectedness to this living planetary system.
We help each other strengthen our personal
support systems and renew our commitment to the
Earth, peace, and social justice.
