* Climate Change, Despair, and Empowerment Road Show with John Seed
Thursday, May 10, 2007, 7-9 PM

First Parish Church, Cambridge (in Harvard Square)

Sponsored by the Environmental Group of First Parish Cambridge, Greenport,
and Interhelp

The reality of climate change can make us feel overwhelmed and can fill us
with fear or despair. This road show with Australian deep ecologist John
Seed aims to catalyze, invigorate, and support grassroots climate
study/action groups across North America.


   It will:
   - Address the hopeless despair that many people feel and provide tools
   to transform despair into empowerment and effective action.
   - Raise awareness and inspire political action towards the real
   solutions that we must insist upon (e.g., end subsidies to the fossil
   fuel industries, support energy efficiency, solar and wind power, etc.)
   - Provide resources for the many things that we can all do to turn the
   situation around.
   - Offer a chance to connect with local actions and local activists.
