*An open meeting to discuss ending the war in Iraq, Arlington Town Hall
Sunday, March 11 from 3-5 PM

national events:

*March 27 - April 1: Nevada Peace Walk
*Join us for this walk in the footsteps of a long legacy of peace
walkers and spiritual leaders to draw attention to the nuclear dangers
that continue to threaten our sacred planet and the community of life.
This interfaith pilgrimage, co-sponsored by BPF, begins in Las Vegas and
travels to the gates of the Nevada Test Site. *For more info, visit:

*April 25 - May 12: FOR/BPF Buddhist Delegation to Colombia
*Join Linda Ruth Cutts (of San Francisco Zen Center) and Sarah Weintraub
on a journey to Colombia to meet with people creating peace in the midst
of civil war. The delegation will visit women’s and youth groups, travel
to rural peace initiatives, meet with faith-based human rights
advocates, Buddhist practitioners, and government officials, and immerse
ourselves in the beauty and warmth of Colombia and its culture.
Delegation members will practice meditation (zazen), chant, observe
periods of silence, share vegetarian meals, and practice deep listening,
exploring this experience in Colombia in light of Buddhist practice. The
trip will end with a 3-day meditation intensive. Co-sponsored by
Fellowship of Reconciliation and Buddhist Peace Fellowship. *Apply by
March 14. For more info, visit:

Please note: We'd LOVE for someone from one of our chapters to go on the
Colombia Delegation. If you are a chapter member and you're interested,
please let us know if we can do anything to support you -- some
financial assistance may be available for members of currently active
BPF chapters.

*3) Buddhist Peace Delegation on YouTube!
*Finally, a treat for you from our January Buddhist Peace Delegation in
Washington, DC. Paul Davis, a BPF member in Cincinnati who came to DC
that weekend, created a great slideshow (with a soundtrack!) that's now
up on YouTube. Here's the link -- enjoy!
